In my keynote I say, “You’re never gonna FEEL ready to do something you’re afraid of. Ready or not, it’s all about stepping outside your comfort zone, trying and take action.”
I got to practice what I preach while on vacation last week. I had the opportunity to sit in with the band for a song. The guitar player handed me her “electric” guitar – I never played an electric guitar only acoustic. I wasn’t ready, especially in front of an audience. Have you ever missed an interesting opportunity because you hesitated, or said no because you didn’t feel ready? Me too – but not this time!
